If you have a project you are going to be working on, but you dont have the wireframes, creating a wireframe should be one of your first action items.
A wireframe can be a high fidelity(Design close to final) or a low fidelity wireframe (Uses a simple design). I recommend creating a low fidelity wireframe. There are a number of tools for this but I recommend.
Both allow you to create wireframes using drag and drop. GomockingBird has a monthly cost and Balsamiq is a one time buy. GomockingBird has collaboration features.
Tips for wireframing
- Focus on the big picture, dont get bogged down by details
- Link related pages
- Keep a consistent structure
