Nice presentation. Logging is typically overlooked by most developers; an oversight that typically bites pretty hard when something goes wrong.

To that end, I wrote a Splunk app specifically for monitoring Django logs: http://splunk-base.splunk.com/apps/77047/django-monitoring. The app is free and can be used with the free version of Splunk (see http://splunk.com).

Good Presentation and info! Have you considered plugging in sentry with it? It might be real useful.
